Now that I have a Blackberry I feel like I am being anti-social to those around me and driving even more distracted. Plus, I can NEVER get away from people trying to reach me! I am the type of person that feels bad if I don't respond promptly; this has caused so much unnecessary aggrevation. At least with a Blackberry I am not signed up with the devil (AKA AT&T). There's little traffic and a lot of the people are very friendly. The point of this blog was to point out how a lot of Fresnans don't have civic pride for where they live. Most residents are proud of their towns, but it doesn't seem to be the case with Fresno. It's really the only place I've ever encountered it. I'm very glad that you enjoy it and that it suits you. On a personal note, my financial issues were not the full reason why I relocated back (which, for the record; I am no longer living in Fresno, but am in LA). There were quite a few reasons with jobs and family that led to that decision. Someone with very little knowledge about foreign nations (Europe vs Australia) gets bent out of shape because she saw an Australian flag in an office that is a DMV, travel agency, and insurance office. Obviously most people wouldn't have known it was Australia day, but come on! Her upset was based on assumptions- yet SHE is able to get her letter published in the Fresno Bee! I love it! Reminds me of when the Prop 8 debate was going on and the majority of opinnion articles published were in support of the proposition- yet people trying to defend the no on 8 agenda couldn't get a letter published. I sure don't see "European's" or Australian's marching down the streets demanding rights etc etc. How many days to Mexican's have here any ways? Dia de los Muertes (sp?), Cinco de Mayo, Cesar Chavez day, etc!!! GROW UP! If Mexico is SO fabulous, GO BACK!!!
